The initial concept for the assistant was a monkey (AIPE), symbolizing an endangered species. Unfortunately, the robot rig didn’t fit its arms, so I chose a small jaguar for the prototype and named it AIROAR.
AIROAR is already capable of performing speech-to-text (STT) on a Raspberry Pi, running a language model (LLM), and text-to-speech (TTS) with voice modulation on a PC with Nvidia graphics cards – all without requiring an internet connection. Currently, AIROAR can answer questions and move at the same time.
